R2000/month in 1990...but after three months it became “ill pay you when I can” so I worked for a year at prob R500/m but good experience... then got a more formal job at again R2k the next year. Took 10 years and much blood donating (figuratively) to scrape up to R5k

Grant, Lungi has a phenomenal record for the proteas - truly world class. In last three years our bowling has been world class but our batting has been HORRIFIC. Our bowlers mostly “non white” and batters mostly “white”. Perhaps the TOKENS are actually on the other side.....?

How about we turn your idea on its head😁 keep CCMA, raise the minimum wage & raise tax at top end of scale. Owners would have less incentive to draw profit so could pay more to workers who would have money to spend in retail for basics and surely THAT spend would boost economy?

I doubt Boucher, Smith, Kallis & Faf are at the stage of needing to learn BIG lessons from cricket... but I hope they have now all learned one important lesson: don’t select just 5 specialist batters... especially when your batting is in a total shambles.

Without CCMA abuse of ALL employees at ALL levels would be unfathomable. You cannot argue that. Reducing minumum wage would maybe reduce employment but many employers would take advantage to pay less, and drop current wages with no CCMA to hold U2 account. Poor would get POORER!

Sipamla’s strike rate is a wicket every 23.9 balls in Tests! Astonishing performance. Very early days but he’s 10 balls better off than the best in Test history, Lohmann at 34.1. Be hard to keep it up but it shows his impact as a strike bowler 💪💪💪
