@jamesaknight @brodders_be Ultimately, disqualifying for whip offences is a bad rule. Pandering at its worst, based on the purely hypothetical that one or more strikes made a difference and risking embarrassment and disaffection. There is no satisfactory solution but this is not it.

@jamesaknight @RadioEmmet The BHA stewards change results involving interference on raceday, so why not whip use and potential disqualification? The reason: disaffecting on-course punters who may never go racing again. Very unsatisfactory for those who donโt get paid on a promoted winner. Rethink needed.

@racingblogger @TheJockeyClub Yes good point. It should be made clear the importance of betting and not be shy of saying so. Also would like to see focus on the stud to sales ring and then racecourse. Plus the difference in races and handicaps. Avoiding technicalities is (imo) a mistake.
