Just to refresh your memory about the Trump's first tariff wars back in 2018: I was actively trading back then pretty much everything including S&P500 and other asset classes. Trump’s first administration started increasing tariffs first on solar panels and washing machines which was on Jan 22nd, 2018. In March, the second wave of tariffs arrived and the administration that time increased tariffs on steel and aluminum from many countries. After several months (on June 15th, 2018), the tariffs were extended to the EU, Canada and Mexico naturally along with more aggressive tariff increases to China. China, Canada, India and many others retaliated and imposed matching tariffs and trade wars continued, which were followed by long-lasting talks. Why did I tell you all this? Let’s have a look at how the market reacted to that trade war back then, which had some negative impact on US growth, inflation and income, according to some academic studies. During these trade wars, $BTC crashed (I highlighted the tariff announcements) from around 20k to 6k. You might think that trade wars caused that, but you will be mistaken. Back in 2017, BTC had a massive run (as it can be seen from the graph below) and investors took profit in 2018 due to major hacks in Korea and Japan (as well as rumors that those countries were planning to ban Bitcoin). And now let’s have a look at how S&P500 behaved during that period. As exhibited in the graph below, S&P500 or overall US equities reacted negatively to trade wars, declined by around 10% and recovered immediately and completely even while trade wars were going on. Down 10% and back up immediately! All in all, this capitulation in crypto seems to be exaggerated, in my humble opinion by looking at the experience and market reaction. I know it is hard to sit back and watch the bloodshed but that will be my strategy.

@SOLsesame never removed it but I don't feel an increase in my testosterone level. It is maybe because I am 50 years old!

If you trust somebody and his/her judgement you buy ‘trust’ for a fixed price. Vice versa is also valid. If you think that an account is not ethical, you buy ‘distrust’. It is not a trading activity. If you lose your trust to that person/account you sell your ‘trust’ share for the same price, as far as I know. At the end of the day, buying those ‘shares’ in Ethos ecosystem gives you points/XPs. We don’t know what these points will do in future (maybe token airdrop), but by joining this initiative, you simply help to make Web3 more ethical. At least this is why I am doing it. Owning ‘trust’ shares of ICO and will keep them.

@langeriuseth @AbstractChain We can blame bad market conditions as well, but especially for Abstract, their main focus right now is pretty much only streamers, which represent a very small portion of Web3. I guess we will need more for mass adoption and as we all know market is always impatient.

@langeriuseth @playduper @kabuxyz @CannaSapiensNFT these three projects along with Final Bosu and OCH MUST perform in Abstract for the sake of the chain. Abstract chain needs flagship titles. So far, pretty much all launches disappointed. I know market conditions played a role there, but still we need success stories there.

MELANIA was the last nail in the coffin tbh. Memecoins are not only 'extractive' anymore, they are destructive now. Yesterday, I saw many fake Kanye coins, which traded millions of dollars and ended up at zero as usual. People still ape in blindly and keep losing money. Do we get any lesson? I don't think so.
