Congratulations to Chelsea HS which was named to the 2024 AP Honor Roll as a Silver and Member. CHHS had 55% of seniors who took at least 1 AP exam during high school, 33% of seniors scoring a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam, and 18% of seniors who took 5 or more AP exams.
Congratulations to Helena HS which was named to the 2024 AP Honor Roll as a Silver and Member. HHS had 54% of seniors who took at least 1 AP exam during high school, 35% of seniors scoring a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam, and 8% of seniors who took 5 or more AP exams.
Congratulations to Oak Mountain HS which was named to the 2024 AP Honor Roll as a Gold Member. OMHS had 68% of seniors who took at least 1 AP exam during high school, 48% of seniors scoring a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam, and 13% of seniors who took 5 or more AP exams.

The Shelby County Board of Education has approved Jennifer McCaleb to serve as the next principal of Calera High. McCaleb has over 20 years of education experience and recently served as the interim principal at CAHS. Before that, she served as the assistant principal.

Holliday served as president of the Chelsea High School Athletic Booster Club for 10 years. During his tenure as booster club president, he led the efforts to build a visitor's football locker room and public restrooms on the Chelsea High School campus.
