It’s the single most important thing financially/politically/competitively at 99.9% of High schools/Colleges/Universities in the country and it’s not close. Personal preference or interest doesn’t change this fact.

Coach player relationships aren’t always rosy, especially if you deal with em all year round and are the demanding type… but man I’d be so lost as a human being without being able to go to work and grind it out with the boys… even on the bad days, still wouldn’t trade it.
We all got into coaching because we love the game. We stayed in coaching because we love the players. Coaching is more than wins and losses, it’s about impacting young people and changing lives. It doesn’t matter if you’ve coached 50 years or just finished your first season, somebody out there values you as a coach and a person. That’s what’s important. That’s why we stay. #ThursdayThoughts

Mandatory 4 day weeks. 1st semester Monday would be the off day, 2nd semester Friday would be the off day.
What education “executive order” would you sign? Snow days don’t have to be made up? Improved school lunches? Shorter days?

Being bad at math but being great at weightlifting math is a real thing… I try to break my own PR every Powerlifting meet I judge by finishing faster then I did the one before… I’ve gotta be close to breaking the record

As a coach we all know we get scrutiny from people who don’t know Jack and sometimes it can really suck, but there’s always kids that you interact with everyday that make any criticism worth it. Seeing kids work hard and improve will always outweigh idiots. Keep press forward!

I run 158 kids a day through our weight room… and I can tell you right now anybody who thinks there’s time for “sport specific” lifting with multi sport athletes in every class, is way more obsessed with pleasing everyone then I am lol. Be good at the basics.

You’ve gotta change the way you think about yourself and your ability if you ever want your life to change.. Words can’t break a warrior, daily grind to defeat the person you woke up staring at and that’ll always be your highest competition!!!
