Ten weeks before Election Day in 2011 -- amidst the earthquake, Michael Brown was there guiding me through my first campaign. Despite the chaos, he provided invaluable support that transformed a political newcomer into a contender. With his genuine grit he helped navigate the campaign trail from which meetings to attend, donors to engage, or churches to visit. His confidence in me was the foundation of my campaign. Michael's legacy in Virginia politics will never be forgotten. Thank you, my friend.

I’m monitoring the situation out of DCA and praying for those involved and all their families. This is the kind of situation we all fear everytime we board a plane. I’m so grateful for all the first responders dealing with the situation and will continue to monitor tonight.

In Virginia, veteran services are being threatened, and domestic violence shelters are concerned they'll need to close their doors because of Trump's federal funding freeze. When asked if @JasonMiyaresVA believes he and his office should stand up for Virginians, he said it's “just not what we do.” This is unconscionable. I will always fight to keep our families safe when I am Virginia's next Attorney General.

.@JasonMiyaresVA is once again choosing MAGA politics over upholding the rule of law, and now, at least 50 people have suffered in jail for it – some for up to a year. This November, Virginians will choose to put the safety and security of our families over partisan politics.
VDOC kept our client Mr. Puryear (now represented by @relmanlaw) in prison 434 EXTRA DAYS. He missed his son’s high school graduation & grandson's birth. Keeping people in prison when they should be home is costly, illegal, and, most of all, cruel.
