@mold_time @exfatloss @rx_ir_ No, this would assume we crossed paths frequently, were in contact with one another and be unified in collaboration. Long haul trucking is so irregular, unless you were hauling dedicated freight. Be even then you don’t have any kind of consistent schedule.

@exfatloss @rx_ir_ @mold_time I took action in 2017, I bought 3 igloo thermo electric coolers, bought a George Foreman grill, started walking before and after bed, told my boss I’m no longer driving past 7pm. While my weight didn’t improve dramatically my blood markers improved, A1C was reduced.

@mold_time @exfatloss @rx_ir_ When I wasn’t driving I was climbing in the bunk to go to sleep. The irregular sleep cycles was definitely not advantageous.

Sitting behind the wheel as much as I was, no exercise, non existent NEAT, poor access to health promoting food, limited refrigerated food storage. Limited options to cook. It was Eat, sleep, drive. If I never became a truck driver in 1997 I’d likely never developed T2D, NAFLD, sleep apnea, high blood pressure. I weighed 235 when I started got as high as 338. At 267 right now.

@rx_ir_ @exfatloss This is what I ate, my RMR was 2150, I was extremely sedentary long haul truck driver, sitting being the wheel as much as 15 hours a day.

Who is training on a Saturday? I am, because I’m now doing every other day. Upper lower upper lower, 4-8 range, 0-2 RIR. Walking at least 1 hour a day.

I’m not saying I disagree with them, but do we really believe state legislators are incapable of taking action? It seems like people assume state governments are helpless, powerless, and entirely dependent on federal agencies.

Right, so because I didn’t buy my kids everything they wanted, didn’t let them drink or use substances, kept them away from bad influences, limited junk food, held them to high standards, enforced healthy boundaries, taught them ethics, responsibility, and the importance of giving their best effort—now they turn around and say I was a terrible parent. Sounds about right.
