The Islamic Republic of #Iran’s latest outrage against the #Bahai community occurred early this morning when security forces arrested ten Baha’i women, without arrest warrants or prior notification, in a series of shocking home raids. The detained women—several of whom are mothers of young children and infants, or caregivers to aging parents—have faced previous convictions for their membership in the Baha’i community. Today’s incident comes just two days before Iran’s Universal Periodic Review at the @UN_HRC where the Iranian government’s #HumanRights violations against the Baha’i community are expected to be scrutinized. All Negar, the daughter of #MahvashSabet, the Baha’i prisoner, has asked for is to write just one sentence in support of her mother and to join the campaign for her release. #FreeMahvash Negar posted on her mother's Instagram: "Osteoporosis, a tumor in the lung, and recent open-heart surgery are only some of the illnesses my mother has suffered in prison.
