Imp thread on 🇱🇧: Each municipal territory in Dahiya includes dozens of neighborhoods dense w contested histories, palimpsests of memories& multiple ranges of socio-spatial practices connecting humans& nonhuman things. Each bombing erases thousands of these. This is what I mourn.

Happy about this recognition: 'Depleted Households: "Domesticating" Economic Sanctions' (@HumanityJ) received honorable mention from the Arlene Kaplan Daniels Paper Award by the Society for the Study of Social Problems (@SSSP1org).
My ✍️on "depleted households" & the erosion of infrastructures of social reproduction due to economic sanctions & hardship in Iran 👉My interviewees refused to be labeled “suffering subjects" even if they offered vivid accounts of their daily “sufferings.”
