Elden Ring averages around 30-35 frames on medium settings on the Steam deck. Loading times are the same as my NVME PC. Resolution takes a big hit at max 1280x800 but this is still a VERY playable experience (lotta heat and fan noise, though).

Specs don’t determine generations. Generations are literally defined by time.
Wii was some 20x weaker in GFLOPS than 360/PS3, yet it was still considered a 7th gen console as successor to GCN.
Switch is 18x weaker in GFLOPS vs PS5, but draws 7 MILLION fewer pixels on average🧐
I'm sorry, but the Switch isn't a 9th gen console in the same metric the PS5 and Series X are. It's kind of it's own unique thing, having a unique gimmick and tons of indies but having less power than even the base PS4 and Xbox One which launched in 2013.

Wii U was an XBONE with less RAM, not a more powerful Wii.
It was significantly more capable than 7th generation, and started the GPGPU SIMD path all consoles would follow after 2012.
The industry failed Nintendo. The amount of publisher boycotts Wii U got was unprecedented.💯

There is no "level" when it comes to consoles, because they are BESPOKE and require BESPOKE development. Nintendo consoles aren't PCs.
We gotta stop comparing consoles this way. There are things Switch does better than PS4 under the hood, and vice-versa. Optimizing is key.💯

The initial haters were Switch holdouts that never wanted the console to do well, and by default an exclusive JRPG they can't get on PlayStation.
So uh why do people hate this game again? The story is fantastic the gameplay is addicting and the character designs are top notch. The comedy is also very good. Only gripe I have so far is the map but other than that I like this a lot more than Xenoblade 1!!!

The Wii U had a weirdly high attach rate for game sales. Sold roughly 1/6 the amount of consoles as the 3DS, but had almost 1/3 the software sales. Most high profile Nintendo games sold a few million. Mario Kart 8 was the highest selling game on the console IIRC.
