Not bad for a few months after a ten year hiatus! Thanks to everyone for listening, there is so much more on the way! Please keep listening and sharing and using for your reels and TikTok’s 😁
I'm a musician and am lucky enough to sometimes play very large, very fun shows and coming off stage with that buzz can be so great and intoxicating and you just want to point that energy somewhere and keep the vibe going! That can be where you need to be careful…⏭️
This is also a safe place for people who are sober or sober curious or clean or need encouragement in anything like that! I am 4.5 years clean and sober. It’s hard, I know, but YOU GOT THIS 🫶🏾
You will need to learn how to celebrate things again.
How to be around other people having a good time and not expressing it the same way.
You will need to be happy with how finite good feelings are. Because they go. The bad ones do too but make no mistake, so do the good ones..
Being Sober is harder when you’re happy…and here’s why…
It's been 5 years and 4 months since I got clean and sober and even though there have been really hard times since (and believe me there have been), those are obviously the times when one needs to be on guard…⏭️
Those are the expected trials of recovery where you have to lean on your community or therapy or whatever tools you have to deal with the low moments.
The sneaky danger of sobriety is working out what to do when you feel really great!
…⏭️
Be the change you want to see. Don’t just post about it. Don’t just shout about it. Don’t just tell people who think differently that they are wrong. With empathy and compassion and courage, show it in how you live, where you live, however small.

We do often are thinking about what we haven’t got or where we need to get to that we forget to stop and look at where we are and the things we do have. There may be distance yet to run but big up yourself for making it thus far

The paradox of music that I find both unfathomable and amazing is this: even when something is expressed in the most singular and personal way possible, it can still become universally understood.
