Simulations can help not only researchers but also policymakers and citizen to understand how decision making might affect climate change in the long term. They can provide the experiences that most of time our brain is not able to provide us in the context of complex systems.
"Simulations help us feel viscerally the delayed, distant implications of our actions in ways that create new possibilities." Watch @AndrewPJones and @MailanderPod discuss the power of simulations in complex decision-making 🎥

Incredible to have such a talented and impactful research team in a company like yours.
Obviously biased but I believe the science team @huggingface has one of the highest impact on the world per team members thanks to being super open, transparent and collaborative with everyone. Franky, it should (and used to) be the standard in AI but unfortunately too many science teams are now very secret, closed-source and competitive (thank you $$$). We’ll be hiring more in 2025 so don’t hesitate to reach out if one of your resolutions is to contribute to the world instead of just increasing your company revenue growth!

Thank you to European AI Office @LucillaSioli for their invitation to join the European AI Office workshop on General-Purpose AI models and systemic risks. They are launching a network of evaluators to exchange ideas. Happy to contribute with an @UN and global South perspective.
