#nmleg. At the WICHE Policy and Research sub committee. Discussing that the federal government consult with states and WICHE as partners before changing higher education policy. The federal role is complimentary not superior to state role. (My interpretation of the discussion.)

This is the best description of how I felt when I went to vote on the first day of early voting. Your daughters are counting on you.
This isn't very eloquently written. I'm in a bit of a fit of rage, and angry tears after talking to one of my husband's friends. My husband and I got in the car, and I just went off. I can't understand the mindset of a republican man. I think my husband may have thought I was angry at him, but I'm angry at everyone who has the audacity to say they love a woman and then vote against them. I didn't vote for me. I voted for my kids. I voted for Harris because my daughters don't have the same rights in other states that she will ALWAYS have in Michigan. I voted blue because Governor Whitmer codified reproductive rights into our state constitution in Michigan, and I want that for every woman. I voted blue because God forbid one of my daughters move to a reproductive health ban state and then something terrible happens and she has to rely on the medical field to make sure she's properly taken care of. They have proven time and time again that they are afraid to do so. I voted for Harris because human rights shouldn't be up to individual states. My daughter's and I shouldn't be afraid to visit Texas. We shouldn't be afraid to visit any state in the USA. But now we have to take that into account when we travel. Human rights don't end at state lines. I voted blue because I can not fathom why in the year 2024, the fetal and maternal mortality rates have gone UP. Women are dying. I voted blue because red votes against programs for mothers and children like prenatal care, WIC, preschool, free lunches, and other social programs that help women and children thrive. They vote against it every single damned time.
