"Tri-Valley State Sen. Jerry McNerney has introduced legislation that would allow farmers and winegrape growers ... to compost large amounts of agricultural waste onsite, instead of having to ship it to composting facilities hundreds of miles away."

SB 31 is a pragmatic approach that will enhance our supplies of fresh water by expanding the use of recycled water for irrigation and commercial uses. It will also help protect the state during devastating droughts caused by climate change.

Recently, I spoke at a #caleg budget hearing to raise awareness about a transit project that would be very impactful to Northern CA - Valley Link. @ValleyLinkRail would provide much-needed relief for one of the worst commutes in the nation: Altamont Pass.
