I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fans of the legendary radio personality, Mambo Mbotela. Mbotela was a celebrated broadcaster whose powerful voice and iconic phrase, "Je, Huu ni Ungwana?" resonated across generations. His unwavering commitment to journalism and patriotism made him a revered figure in Kenya’s media landscape. A true patriot who deeply loved Kenya, he stood for truth and justice, inspiring many through his work. I had the privilege of meeting him when he visited us in Parliament months ago. His wisdom and passion for Kenya were evident, and he challenged us to remain steadfast in the pursuit of truth and justice. His passing is a great loss to our country. I pray for strength and comfort for his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

I attended Day 2 of the Senate Midterm Assessment and Planning Retreat in Naivasha, where we engaged in critical discussions on revenue allocation. We remain committed to a fair formula that safeguards county resources, strengthens devolution, and upholds accountability in public finance management.

I attended the Senate Midterm Retreat in Naivasha, where critical discussions on devolution, governance, and legislative priorities took precedence. Strengthening devolution, addressing financial constraints, and enhancing the Senate’s oversight role remain key to ensuring effective service delivery to the people.

On this #WorldCancerDay, we stand in solidarity with those affected by cancer, acknowledging the progress made in care and the continued pursuit of better outcomes for all. As I champion cancer care through the Cancer Prevention and Control Amendment No. 2 Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 45 of 2022), we aim to integrate e-health and telemedicine, expand access to treatment, and ensure cancer care is part of primary healthcare. #UnitedByUnique

Arresting individuals advocating for better healthcare, a fundamental right every Kenyan deserves, is both backwards and unfortunate. It not only silences voices calling for essential reforms but also undermines our national efforts to achieve universal health coverage. Such actions tolerate the very poor healthcare services we are striving to improve.
