Homelessness is a challenge affecting thousands in California and across the country. I recently joined a panel of experts on the Samuel Lawrence Foundation's First Friday podcast to discuss the complexities of homelessness and explore potential solutions. I believe everyone deserves access to safe and stable housing. We need to work together to find effective strategies and ensure resources are used efficiently. It's critical to improve outcomes on our streets and support the needs of our unhoused neighbors. Listen to the full episode to learn more about these issues. Today, I introduced a bill that protects seniors' health care by making Medigap accessible to ALL seniors, regardless of age or health status. Seniors on fixed incomes should not be forced to choose between food and their health care needs. Read more about my proposal here:
