Sad to see so many promising AI startup throwing the towel. Are we all back to getting rich fast? Or did those founders all believe that hype is business success? Sad.
Proud to announce that
@Udacity
has signed the

I really wonder why so many AI companies seem to blindly compete for building the same thing: the best foundational models, as measured by some abstract set of benchmarks. It feels like there is now an entire ecosystems of companies that want to outperform GPT.x. Why?
I just spent time with one of the very largest
@udacity
enterprise customers, and I learned that they observed a stunning 82% graduation rate from our nanodegree programs. Amazing. We must be doing something right. So happy! Changing the world one learner at the time.
Today was an awful reminder of what happened in Germany on Feb 27, 1933. It didn't end well. I love the USA, I love the freedoms we all enjoy, and and I love democratic system. Let us be stronger than my ancestors in the Weimar Republic.

We are now truly democratizing software engineering. With LLMs, computers can be programmed in plain English. So anyone who is fluent in English can now be a programmer. Going forward, who would want to pay big bucks for "experts" to manually generate cryptic computer code? We

Last week I did 5 Google searches and placed 28 questions with ChatGPT. Wonder if others here see similar patterns. So many questions I have on a daily basis are much better served with LLMs.
LLMs are like mirrors. They are trained with text written by people. So if we find their output to be harmful, we need to remember they just mirror back to us what's readily available on the Internet. Should we punish the mirror if we don't like what we see? Really?
Excited about the rebirth of

Don't pay $80k. At
@udacity
you can build a new career for less than $2k. And it'll be more fun. Learning through projects not boring professor videos!
Was talking with someone last week about something unrelated + he remarked that he's upset about paying $80K for his daughter to "watch college lectures online" and it dawned on me that this could be the thing that finally bursts the bubble that Peter was talking about years ago.
I feel half of my twitter feed is about how bad
