Is John Creedon single handedly saving RTÉ as a public service broadcaster? By his pure instinct & genius & grá for his profession & job? Connection with us. Like Sinéad a certain purity

There was a spate of transport accidents around 1990 where Thatcher very publicly visited the injured in hospital so the Eye printed this in one issue
Fair play to Joe Duffy criticising RTÉ management for not standing up to Gemma O’Doherty along with other outlets.

As they can take her on, private citizens can’t.
This is a masterclass in interviewing fair, persistent & forensic. Johnson here in full evasion mode which with most journalists & for most of his career has served him well.
For TEN MINUTES Boris Johnson refused to say whether he should quit if he broke the law, while laughing and using Ukraine as a shield.
If you couldn't attend a loved one's funeral or be there when they died, THIS is what he thinks of you.

Deploy the Navy & drones in the busiest narrow shipping channel in the world. History will damn him as lucky fantasist married into money and part of a nexus of facile selfish faux intellectuals who got power. Who if they weren’t privileged & connected would still be obscure.
100% false & either ignorant incompetence from Wagner or straight lying from the charlatan.

Justice & truth based on facts, the rule of law are important. If Dennis is innocent & hounded when he is gravely ill that is wrong & tragic. However he shot a man with learning disabilities in the back - John Pat Cunningham. Don’t let emotion & timing destroy truth & justice.

Re read your tweet. You stated his audience is “simple” Management consultancy is a sector where intellect & knowledge is what is sold. That’s why he raised it. management science & practice require strong soft skills you’re exhibiting quite the competence gap
People are being lied to by Johnson & Gove. This fillets Gove's speech in the U.K. parliament last week- which impacts on everyone in U.K. & in Ireland. Maybe existentially This is serious stuff that needs to be reported by media & called out.

Outstanding. This works on so many levels, there's jokes within jokes but a serious point based on irony. It's Hogarthian. Brexit has brought Hogarth's prints to relevance in the 21st century a movement based on false nostalgia, delusion & dystopia promoted by charlatans
@tconnellyRTE
@RTENewsNow
Tony, that is excellent journalism and analysis. Because of you Irish people understand Brexit better than UK citizens. Thank you.
Man who wanted Brexit, now complains about an outcome he was warned about & says Johnson “allowed” it as opposed to negotiated it. What’s worse he’s published in newspapers. These people were never honest with themselves about Brexit’s costs & just indulged in magical thinking
We must abolish the Northern Ireland protocol that Balkanises the UK. It was irresponsible of Boris Johnson to allow it to happen - the integrity of the United Kingdom must take priority over all other considerations. (Gerald Warner on Reaction
@rodneyedwards
👏Some will attack you for this Rodney. Doing your job very well & impartially. Given your investigation’s scope includes Radio 5 this story will be carried in London based titles & broadcast outlets. So your journalism will have a wider audience. Well done & deserved 👏
Actually it's worse. He's a self parody. He thinks the EU backed down last year on the Withdrawal Agreement particularly on the Backstop. He doesn't understand it was replaced by the UK agreeing to Ireland's request for the far stronger frontstop.
This is true. There is significant dissonance in the UK. BBC has been gelded & become a state broadcaster. Then online & in the tabloids (inc. Telegraph) there is fact free cheerleading. It's a tragedy & dangerous for the UK's democracy & relationship with partner countries
In a Life and Death Crisis, Will the British Finally Wake-Up to the Reality of Boris Johnson?

Will Tubridy ask Foster about who paid the DUP for the wraparound Metro ad advocating in Brexit in GB where DUP don't stand? Why DUP wanted Brexit - a threat to GFA? Will he read Sam McBride's Burned on RHI scandal & question her on it? Also on Irish language?

Kwarteng is performing again; his party is partly funded by Russian money. The BP stake in Rosneft originated in the 1990s & in current form since 2011 after a tussle with Putin. Looney took over as CEO 2 yrs ago. The invasion was 2 days ago. Shareholders may now want stake sold

As Michael predicted. Thank God Ireland has replaced the U.K. Landbridge with direct ferries to the mainland. I flew over Holyhead 2 or so months ago. It made me sad that it too voted to leave & so destroy its economy & 300 years of competitive advantage & incumbency
Yet again Victoria Derbyshire is showing many UK news broadcasters up. Knowledgeable, fluent & cares. “Honest Bob” Jenrick, a man out of his depth in a paddling pool is currently doing an impression of Leonardo diCaprio in Titanic.

Health Sec, Steve Barclay, recently claimed two Liverpool hospitals were part of the 40 new hospitals promised by Johnson in 2019 - one opened in 2015, construction of the other began in 2014 - tonight he was at it again. You can have the Tories or the NHS, you can't have both.
