November Spawning 🪸 A team of > 50 worked to spawn eight coral species from four reefs. Over 10 million coral larvae are thriving in our facility, transforming into tiny coral polyps. Many will be delivered onto the Reef in coming weeks. Learn more >>

A study to examine coral-dinoflagellate symbioses is underway in the SeaSim! Using soft corals “bleached” with menthol allows us to test compatibility of many Symbiodiniaceae spp. and gain insight into the flexibility of this critical relationship on coral reefs!

Ever wonder how we clean our display tank? Every 2-3 weeks one of our diver certified aquarists spends about an hour cleaning, checking on coral health, and aquascaping. The tank holds around 12,000 litres of water and is home to 62 coral species and 30 fish species! 🐠
