Dad x2 // Race Director // Green Bay Packers Shareholder // Took a left jab from Muhammad Ali in 1995 // 2008 NASCAR Champion // 2021 Oxford 250 Champs
The “Game 7 moment” isn’t working
Just for a couple of comps…..the 2023 Daytona 500 did nearly 3x more viewers than the Championship event did.
The rain delayed MONDAY Coke 600 won by Ryan Blaney this year did 3.39 million viewers
I love this sport, I’ve dedicated the
The NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway earned 2.920 million average viewers on NBC last weekend.
🚨 The event was down 9.1% compared to last year at 3.213 million average viewers on NBC.
Tom Giberti was my immediate next door neighbor for my entire childhood, he was the first person to my parents house the morning my dad died in 2017.
Mr. Giberti as I’ve called him my whole life, has survived last night’s shooting but is was shot in the legs several times while
Skip Bayless pretending to not grasp the concept of how they can postpone a game AFTER just 2 years ago seeing games moved to Tuesdays and Wednesdays because of COVID proves everything you need to know about him.
@bobbytimmons13
Bob we joke around a lot on this app and there’s so much to say here, but I’m just glad you’re ok pal. If there’s anything I can do to help let me know
Gonna get on my Twitter soapbox for
@RyanPreece_
for a minute…
What Ryan was able to accomplish at the Snowball was, in my opinion, his greatest performance at a racetrack at any level.
Super Lates are a completely different discipline of motorsport than he his used to
Michael Deslauriers II was killed because he attempted to stop the gunman and save lives over his own.
Another hero that needs to be remembered and recognized.
Personally, this heros daughter is my son Owen’s elementary school teacher at Poland and the entire class is
*Long story alert about Ken Squier
Growing up we had the typical late 80’s entertainment center in our living room and on the top of it my dad would display all of what he thought were his most important collectibles/items and the centerpiece of that collection was a letter
Luke Fenhaus just became a household name in the American motorsports world.
That is the biggest victory of it all no matter where he crossed the finish line
Imagine a Super Bowl where the refs just only care about false starts and let it be open season downfield….offense and defensive pass interference is not going to be called, guys just mauling each other, players injured because two of those guys mauling each other ran into
Billy was a fixture if you ever attended a sporting event in the Lewiston/Auburn/Oxford/Poland area.
If you’re my age (40’s), you grew up in this area with Billy in your life in some way and it’s crushing to see that his family has confirmed he was taken in last night’s attack.

- Has the one race championship run its course?
- How does he feel about Jimmie Johnson joining the Toyota ranks?
- does he have any advice for Harvick calling his first Daytona 500?
All of y’all’s screenshots of a race track in the middle of a city are cute....
But nothing says “in the middle of the city” like Riverhead Raceway being located in between 3 malls and a retirement community
I completely understand why it’s no longer a thing….but man I firmly believe that Pre-Season/Winter Testing at Daytona was THE key to the hype of the Daytona 500 at its peak viewership of late 90’s to mid 2000’s.
Building anticipation is such a lost art form
Sorry for the difficult timeline today but the folks lost last night and/or injured will sadly never get the same recognition as their killer has and will and that’s frustrating.
Another frustration is that several of those murdered at the Schmengee’s Bar & Grill were important
Alot of non-Cup regular guys have had the part-time opportunity in super fast Gibbs Xfinity cars over the last 5 years, very few get it to victory lane though.
Each time it doesn’t happen it makes Ryan Preece’s 2 wins in 7 starts with JGR even more impressive.
Incredible job
@doug_coby
tonight.
I know the points are the storyline and rightfully so for a cut-off race, but Doug deserves the national recognition for that effort
Another comparison…..
The Clash at the Coliseum HEAT races had 2.6 million viewers
The 2021 Martinsville Championship Cut-off race had 2.6 million viewers
This Clash was a huge success by every metric possible
No disrespect to anybody else but right now
@DerekGriffith12
is the best Super Late Model and/or Pro Late Model driver in the United States of America.
People are so hung up on being “right” about their favorite aero/engine package that they will pretend that wasn’t one of the the best Michigan races, flag to flag, ever.
Lowest rated Super Bowl in a decade right on the heels of the 3rd lowest rated World Series in history, when will people finally realize that old ratings metrics are dead? It’s 2019, everyone is streaming & are consuming sports more than ever....yes, including motorsports
If COVID never happened then today we’d be reading: complaining about Bristol crowd size, complaining about PJ1, complaining about how long the Icebreaker is taking, etc.....I hope this period of time we are in gives some perspective on how dumb it is to complain about nonsense
The thing that irritates me the most about Julie Stefanik not being allowed to speak for her husband at the
@NASCARHall
induction is that Julie herself was an integral part of her husband’s racing career and success…his spotter, business manager, etc.
(1/2)
Wait, so they are both offering $50k to prove their equipment isn’t good? Why wouldn’t you just invest that $100k, that appears to be easily obtainable, into your own equipment and make it better?
When you see a guy “complaining” on the internet about racing having too much tech but that same guy privately spends all year long telling you that everyone is cheating and we need more tech…
Absolutely the craziest battle for the win that you’ll ever see…..and you will see more of it than the winner did.
His. Hood. Is. On. His. Windshield.🤯
A wild night at White Mountain complete with a wild finish.
Jason Corliss ran the last 3 laps of the race with his hood flipped up on his windshield, but managed to hold off DJ Shaw to get the win and the $10,000 check!
We needed a new tower to facilitate the SXR race, Pat decided to go all-in.
The time frame was short and while it’s not fully complete, it’s amazing what Mike Foster and his guys accomplished in that time.
Proud to be a part of places like Thunder Road & Stafford
@KyleBusch
You won’t get the credit you deserve for the integrity you showed by not causing an intentional caution, the int yellow selfishness has been sad to watch over the last couple weeks. I know I’m just nobody short track race director but I thank you for your sportsmanship.
@90sWWE
This moment, Undertaker locking the Ultimate Warrior in a casket and the snake biting Macho are three of the most vivid memories of my childhood.
Saturday morning WWF and its storylines were the good ol’ days
I will always be “Team”…
Heat races > time trials
Open Pit Strategy > Competition Pitting
I love the Derby, I just love the Oxford 250 much much more
Oh and Curtis Gerry could’ve wrecked us and won but he decided to race instead, I like that too
A 17 year old kid only knows a world where the Red Sox dominate the Yankees year after year.
As 41 year old that saw every possible way to lose year after year up to 2004, this run is mind blowing.
It took two weeks for the little plastic flags to come in but it’s finally official.
The tears of winning the 250 were relief, a life long goal accomplished and just wishing my dad could’ve been there to experience victory lane.
Thank you dad.
#Oxford250Champs
And Facebook is full of...
“Bring back the old days, this racing is boring”
Its simply mind blowing that people have no memory at all of what the old days really were.
Sorry but Morgan Shepherd winning by 17 seconds/only 3 cars on the lead lap in 1993 was not better than today
There are a handful of drivers that should be in the conversation for Most Talented Drivers on Planet Earth and Bobby Santos absolutely is one of them.

@NASCARHall
talk heating up lets do a little
#TBT
to when Mike Stefanik won 4 NASCAR Touring Titles in 2 years. 2 titles a year in back2back seasons....in two completely different disciplines of cars...there are many deserving of the Hall, but none are more deserving than Mike
I never check Facebook messages but logged in today & had 2 new messages telling me how I suck because of a call I made in an irace last night. I was watching “A Dogs Way Home” with my kids last night so I didnt call or watch the race. My call is that the movie wasnt worth the $5
SS-Green Light Racing just won a

race.
Bobby Dotter established his team in 1995.
Alliances are everywhere, so save that take somewhere else…..it’s still pretty damn cool
@SRXracing
@StaffordSpeedwy
was easily the most electric shorttrack atmosphere that Ive been a part of & I didnt think anything would ever top when we brought the Mod Tour back to Waterford in 2012.
The one common denominator of both of those races is:

in victory lane
