Appropriate. Does not contain piles of nonsense Thameslink so is much easier to read.

The risk of climate change killing us all is essentially zero whereas this appears to be a 1/50 in 8 years.

During the grooming gangs outrage in early January there was this hilarious moment on blue sky where one morning they all started posting about social care strategies because Wes Streeting told them to as X convulsed with rage and wrote all the headlines.

After getting all of this completely wrong and, saying the issue of immigration had been solved by Brexit, Forsyth found himself advising Sunak on how to lose an election more comprehensively than any PM ever.

I think about this front cover a lot. In it, the Political editor, and future advisor to a Prime Minister, James Forsyth, predicted a "very long premiership", as least 6 years (probably much more), for Theresa May - as she stood "unchallenged" after getting "the politics of the EU referendum precisely right", explaining how she was "determined to be across the detail on an issue, no matter how small." He reassured his readers "she has no desire to become the darling of the Davos circuit" and she "owns" Brexit. So, sure enough, she threw away her majority in a shambolic election, delivered keynote speeches at the next two Davos conferences, the Tories came 5th in the European parliament elections after negotiating a catastrophic Brexit deal and she was gone in less than three years. What does this tell us? The SW1 commentators know nothing. Anything can change and there's everything to play for.

It’s great how the Americans have a Bloomberg terminal for politics funded out of govt subscriptions whereas we have a public broadcaster funded out of mandatory taxation that’s terrible at reporting.

@JoeScibelli I’m not arguing if it’s justified or not, but they do lots of very wonky in the weeds reporting on the finer points of particular policy areas. Basically a trade publication.

The incoherent rage party may overnight have so many people elected that it can stop being that and begin appointing anyone the leadership knows to do something useful. Not an opportunity you’ll ever see again.
