Bittersweet day today. Ending a fantastic 8 seasons at Chicago Golf Club. A huge thanks to all of the members at this wonderful club, the employees who made work fun every day, vendors who supported along the way, and neighbors/friends who made my family feel at home from day 1.

Opened the new holes July 2. Still a lot of work to do, but seeding through winter-April this team really pulled off an incredible feat with dry weather and Covid. Big thank you to all of them.

Rock star, not so much. Surround myself with great people on the staff, consultants, and friends to ask questions to, absolutely. The team is working hard to get it ready for summer. The construction crew is building some great golf holes and things are really coming together.

I always said our industry is similar to football coaches. A bad year or two are weighted even after winning championships. Changing personnel, bosses, weather, and multiple adjustments daily. These last few weeks coaching changes/rumors are eye opening. Never stop grinding

1 grant fairway was going to be a quick change of bentgrass and new irrigation. We then found the old muck layer from digging the irrigation pond 20 years ago. Thankfully the construction team has big toys to mix it. We appreciate your patience as we construct it properly.
