It is with a heavy heart that we have to let you all know that our famous and very popular security guard, Paul, has unexpectedly passed away. Many of you will remember Paul at our events as a bright and kind soul who looked after us and enjoyed our events as much as we did.

While he did not arrive at Scotiacon as a furry, he won many hearts and left our first event in Glasgow as part of our community. A number of us kept in touch with him and we had hoped to invite him back for a third time this year. His loss will be hugely felt. Rest in peace.

Scotiacon are proud to announce Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre as our associated charity for our 2023 convention. Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre cares for Scotland’s injured & orphaned wildlife. It has been running for over 35 years and became a registered charity in 1986.
