It's fine for testing out games, but like I said, I see it as a negative for studios who are forced or opt into it because you know Microsoft keeps a hefty chunk.

Valhalla was not good, but the charecter was not controversial and fit the time and place.. Again, with opinions. But the Japanese people I've seen and heard disavow the story as a lie.

The AI was not behaving right.. hours of videos on YouTube of people falling through the map or npcs being all but blind. And having to connect to a server to authenticate ownership is getting close to a line of not owning it.

From the seasonal issues, to the fruits in the carts. The Sakura trees, tori gates.. It's a hard one to get right.

It's not a good look when every other AC game has had a protagonist from the place or with a general understanding of their implementation.. not loose speculation. Diablo 4 is brainless. Veilguard was an insult to dragon age as an IP.

The one-legged tori gate was in bad taste.. The bugs that play testers have showcased. Even the obfuscation of words for different steam pages

It's rare.. that's why a lot of us are getting jaded by what we keep seeing. And why it seems like a fresh start might be better than the status quo.

I'm an equal opportunity hater of bad companies and policies.. it's why I end up sticking to single-player games unless I have a party. And why I've become a fan of indy devs who seem to care more about the fun than monetization.

It's just monotonous extra crap when all we want is to play a game.. and for safeguards for someone's feelings or opinions.. mute them, block them yourself. But companies in today's world wanna play daddy and ban you outright.

@MCroisard @CthulhuRules @Pirat_Nation I've had friends banned from accounts. one in particular is very skilled and has been faced these issues.. I had issues with a game called paladins. The rgb on for my motherboard. Took days to figure out why the anticheat flagged me. It's not something I want more of.

With the way they've been going, I feel like we need a paradigm shift.. If they survive its because they figure it out

@MCroisard @CthulhuRules @Pirat_Nation New studios open all the time, and limiting a devs potential talent to one country isn't a good strategy. Tech is advanced enough to soften a language barrier. I play tons of great indy titles from new studios, the bloat of ubisoft is stifling that talent.

Not Ignorant as a gamer. I don't know your gaming resume. but you listed 3 good games as if that makes the bloat worth it.

@MCroisard @CthulhuRules @Pirat_Nation Offline mode is a must... As long as it's not tied to an all incompassing account you must connect to. if they ban the account. then what? It's like Playstation trying to make pc players connect to a ps account.. Extra constraints to collect data. And control criticism.
