Come hang at SheFi Denver! I can promise developer talk with a possibility of witchcraft. Feb 26 👉

@Web3Kristel @_kaitoai Ok using something like Kaito’s network analysis ai would be cool! Instead of smart followers it’s about how many Eligible Daters in your network, and a shadow ban for chronic ghosting…

@circle_crypto Ha yeah, the topics feature always drives me a bit batty. I tend to prefer single channel telegrams since they are easier to get into and out of. But perhaps those are the old ways

@pewgoblin Twitter communities have so much going for them but it’s just not supported enough imo

@circle_crypto Definitely. I’m aiming for early adopters who want to give feedback and sink their teeth into beta mechanisms and such. I like that discord stages lends itself to private live sessions. But it really does seem on the downswing

My favorite thing about this is that both crypto and the Romans were ultimately all just tryng to solve a byzantine generals problem
Turns out there's a lot of analogies crypto has to ancient rome and religions Yesterday @jillrgunter and I got down to: Ancient Rome = fragmentation of chains and roll ups across @ethereum and altvms Christianity/monotheism = @solana Polytheism = modularity narrative Roads for transport = @EspressoSys as a coordination layer Airplanes existing in ancient rome = bitcoin finance solutions that are evm compatible but secured on bitcoin (kind of lost the plot from there, lmk if you can keep going lol) - religion was used to pacify the masses. there were multiple religions in ancient rome before christianity came - the emperors used to fund the hot cult/belief/religion there when entering new territories - they'd even eventually integrate with the belief and you'd see their own carvings on temples - some emperors also played this game of 'no don't idolize me' but there was also some social encouragement 1. multiple religions coexisting: fragmentation similar blockchains to today 2. funding the hottest belief to pacify the people: similar to when your community makes a banger meme and you amplify it 3. emperors not wanting to be idolized but also do at same time: founder branding, and also when some companies claim to be decentralized but aren't quite lol we had fun, you can watch the full recording
