One derailed freight train has made it impossible to travel between the Southern Highlands and Sydney by rail since Wednesday lunchtime, and the line is not going to be open until at least 10AM Friday. As someone who relies on this service, it is maddening.

“This agreement is a victory for sports fans in Australia and around the world,” News Corp chief executive Robert Thomson said ... I disagree, a new company buying up rights is just likely to make it worse in terms of having to subscribe to multiple services. Hope they leave the football alone, but I doubt it.
