#cnnpresidentialdebate2022
All the candidates did very well but Sec. Abella, Sen. Lacson, & VP Leni stood out! 👍Sec. Abella & Sen. Lacson showed their vast experience & VP Leni was very “presidentiable,” full of substance, to the point & humble yet confident! Kudos to all!🙏
Sorry but... How can anyone even agree that DOH is correct in CLAIMING/OWNING that mild/asymptomatic covid+ patients are “recovered” when there was NO INTERVENTION ON THE PART OF DOH OR DOCTOR OTHER THAN THEIR OWN IMMUNE SYSTEM that was responsible for their supposed recovery?
All of us in Gov’t have received AOM’s from COA. The difference is that we answer/explain simply because we have nothing to hide! We dont attack COA & we dont complain that it “lowered our morale.” Matakot po kayo pag tao nagsabi sa inyo nyan - na “pagod at sawa na kami sa inyo.”
The Commission on Audit's report which found deficiencies in the Department of Health's use of its P67.3-billion COVID-19 response fund brought down the agency's morale, Secretary Francisco Duque III said on Tuesday.
Sorry, but the Nat’l Gov’t should “step up to the plate” re disaster response & should show more empathy to the victims of recent calamities...competence can sometmes take the place of empathy but not all the time!!! But... is it too much to ask for both?!?!
#TimeToLevelUp
No one is for terrorism but Governments should be careful not to inflict the very same evil they are trying to prevent on their own citizens. Thats what the Bill of Rights is for - to limit the powers of Gov’t. & protect the rights/liberties of the people! No law can override it!
PRRD said that its unfair that only UP & PUP have a pact... I completely agree!!!! So why not enter into a similar pact with ALL THE OTHER UNIVERSITIES or, better yet, pass a law that will guaramtee this to ALL UNIVERSITIES instead of abrogating these two.
#TrustTheFilipinoYouth
I think DOH is just “riding out” COVID-19 until a vaccine is invented. I dont see nor feel any active/serious efforts being done by it. The DOH, as the lead agency of the IATF should do precisely that - lead in a proactive way & not simply be content in reporting out statistics.
As per Sec. Duque, “there is no evidence that asymptomatic patients are contagaious...” May I, however, ask if there is evidence that they are not? Isnt the ability of the virus to be transmitted by asymptomatic people one of the major reasons for the pandemic?
@ABSCBNNews
@arianne_merez
Dear Sec. Duque: The first step po in solving a problem is admitting that we have a problem. Addressing a pendemic is never a propaganda war. Please just do your job as best you can without fooling yourself or us and pray really hard that all our efforts will bear fruit.
re ABS-CBN... PRRD can reverse the order of the NTC, being under the OP. This is not the time to deprive the people w information re the pandemic &, following his humbling realization re Ayala & Pangilinan, Government needs all the help it can get to fight COVID-19... contd...
The virus is still out there & there is still no vaccine. Nothing has changed from the beginning. We are opening up for the sake of the economy & people’s jobs & livelihood. The responsibility now rests on each & every one of us!! Assume that everyone is positive...
#staysafe
.
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) have no place whatsoever whenever PUBLIC FUNDS are used. Congress/COA cannot & should not allow this!!! We have to know the price at which Government bought the vaccines. Transparency & accountability demand nothing less!!!
Re Confidentiality/NDA in the procurement of vaccines... Whenever public money is involved, full disclosure/posting is required, especially in emergency negotiated procurements (Sec. 21.2.1, 2016 Revised IRR of R.A. 9184). The only exception is if the contract is below ₱50,000.
am not that familiar with BBM’s DQ case but, as a matter of principle, I would rather that the 64M registered Filipino voters decide on who our next President will be than merely 7 COMELEC Commissioners or, if appealed, 15 justices of the SC… or a total of 22 vs 64M people…👍🙏
I am pleading & imploring PRRD & the IATF to address red tape & logistics issues hounding the DOH. In a public health crisis/emergency where time is of the essence, red tape & inefficiencies will cost precious lives...
Toni Gonzaga has the freedom & right to interview whomsoever she may want to in her platforms. Whether or not you agree with the interviewee or her is totally up to you because you too have the freedom & right to watch or not to watch or like/dislike…. ✌️

re ABS-CBN...
Preparedness, rescue, relief & rehabilitation, in that order, in a calamity is a question of the presence (or absence) of concern & care for our fellow man (the bicol word is (pagmama-kulog”). No amount of “showmanship” can take its place & it will always show in one’s actions..
We who work in Gov’t. have “no right” to lose our patience nor berate people publicly. Our Offices (appointive/elective) never gave us that right! Rather, it is our job to listen to people & make them understand - both what we are doing or cannot do in any situation.

"TAO LAMANG."
Ito ang idinahilan ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque matapos kumalat ang isang "leaked" video ng IATF meeting kung saan kita siyang galit habang naglalabas ng saloobin laban sa mga doktor.
BASAHIN:
DOH “gave” us 11!nurses to augment our hospitals re COVID-19. 2 only got a salary for 2 mos. after workinh for 5 mos. & the 9 didnt get any salary after working for over a month. Only one (1) is left w/ us now! NO ONE GOT ANY BENEFITS in violation of their contract.
#SalamatDOH
In catastrophic calamities, one’s best may not be enough simply because of the sheer enormity, but the “appearance” of trying to beat your best, instead of being seemingly nonchalant, is enough for a lot of people to hold on to & inspire/embolden others to step up & help Gov’t..
@JojoTerencio
@lenirobredo
I agree po… Pati wardrobe tinitingan ko na din hahaha (heart’s infleunce on me perhaps) and it was also on point - Per Heart it was “chic” & per me, it was elegant yet simple… 👍😀
re: fatal shooting of mother and son in Tarlac... Arrogance, entitlement and a hot head should never be coupled with carrying a gun!!! one should never be with the other... 😡 my sincerest condolences to the Gregorio family... 🙏
Atty. Chel Diokno did very well during the "Fast Talk" segment of ABS-CBN’s Harapan 2019 last night! I enjoyed watching him deliver his witty one-liners. Kudos to you Chel and here’s to wishing you all the best in the coming elections!
Then DOH should make RT-PCR testing ACCESSIBLE, READILY AVAILABLE AND FREE! After nearly two years and ₱6,000,000,000,000 in borrowings, why is it that we still cannot seem to do this?!?!
Any person tested for COVID-19 should not be discharged from a hospital &, if asymptomatic or recovers, should be placed in A GOVERNMENT QUARANTINE facility UNTIL THE TEST RESULTS COME OUT. Difficult to do contact tracing afterwards & would certainly create a panic if test is (+)
DAY 20 of ECQ...
contd...The House of Representatives &, later on, the Senate can & should act, one way or the other, on the franchise application of ABS-CBN. They (especially the House) cannot & should not simply pay lip service & then sit on it while supposedly awaiting signals from Malacanang.
I consider what happened to Former Ombudsman Morales
as a wake up call because, for me, providing assistance & clarifying all denials of entry imposed by any State on any Filipino is part of the DFA’s job of protecting/defending our nationals especially when they are abroad.
I do not inderstand why we need to ask the permission of the so-called “IATF-Bicol” or even need to call PD Asueta of Albay just to remind them that “ALL CARGOES (FOOD AND NON-FOOD) SHOULD BE UNHAMPERED!!” Para nyo na pong awa... di naman na cguro kailangan i-memorize pa yan!!
For the very first time, since the first modern olypics began in Athens in 1896, Lupang Hinirang, our National Anthem, was played at the Olypmic Games!!!!! Thank you Hydilyn!!!!!! You are indeed the best… for us and in the world!!!
I may not always agree with her, but I cannot help but admire the courage & grace of Former SC Justice & Former Ombudsman Conchita Morales. Even under difficult circumstances, she remained composed, magnanimous & exuded a lot of wisdom with her spoken words. Kudos to you ma’am!
They are clearly doing a far better & “excellent” job than we are. The first step in solving a problem is admitting that we have one... a big one! We dont have to re-invent the wheel so to speak... Lets ask, watch, study & learn from others so we can do a truly better job!!!
As COVID-19 cases spike in Metro Manila, BICOL IATF wants to “discuss the re-opening of public transportation from NCR & Calabarzon to Bicol....” Haaaaay!?!?! Dont think this falls under “excellent handling” of the pandemic...
DOH should start distributing PPE’s NATIONWIDE based on the number of medical personnel of each hospital (public or private) & should look for suppliers that will sell or rent ventilators & distribute them pro rata too by province w/o much red tape.
#RuralAreasNeedMoreHelp
A cure is by far better and more efficient than a vaccine. Praying for a cure so we can treat anyone who is infected with COVID-19 and put an end to the “insanity” that has engulfed the whole world. A cure is the best and fastest way back to normalcy.
#prayingforacure
All rivers & waterways must be regularly desilted & dredged to increase their “water-holding” capacity & prevent/avoid floods. Last January, PRRD issued an EO to that effect. DPWH should facilitate its implementation ASAP so we dont see the same things happen year in & year out..
I strongly urge the Govt to immediately protest the “acts of ownership” exhibited by the Chines Coastguard against our fishermen and media. They should not let this pass! Otherwise, it may be considered as acquiescence of China’s right over our very own territorial sea.
On behalf of Sorsogon & all Sorsoganons, thank you to all the actors/actresses, directors & crew of

& to GMA7 for showcasing Sorsogon & what we have to offer! It was a great series! 👍Congratulations! 👍Thank you
@heart021485
for doing this for our hometown… ❤️
Evacuees need water (or aquatabs) and ready-to-eat or hot meals. Relief packs containing rice/canned goods are needed after they have decamped from evac centers & return to their homes. They will also need clothes & cooking utensils which may have been washed out by floodwaters.
I was in 1st year college, 32 years ago, when UP last made it to the finals. Congrats to the UP Fighting Maroons!!!! Kudos to the Adamson team as well as both teams gave it their all!!! Certainly one of the best basketball games I have ever watched...
Re: Nuezca: This should not be used to demonize ALL policemen. Neither should it be used to reinstate the death penalty. Simply put, the Gregorio family deserve JUSTICE!!! They should get nothing less!!! Nobody should take advantage of their grief nor the nation’s outrage!!!
If a City w/in NCR is in need & is asking for help, what about a province/city/municipality in the “outbacks?! LGU’s must be enabled & empowered w/ much needed funds & reaources because in the end.. they know better what is needed & needs to be done than any nat’l gov’t. agency!
I am uncertain if PBBM can veto a bill passed by the “previous” Congress (when he was not yet President). If he can’t sign it (because the signatories will be composed of past/present officials that didn’t serve at the same time), can he veto it? Its a unique legal quandary…
Filing (of COC) should be a conscious, voluntary & selfless act to offer urself to the “altar of the ballot” for the sole purpose of serving the people. Its not done to please any one person/group/party, much less to “play” with & circumvent the intent of electoral process…
Every Government NEEDS a free and unbridled press and should avoid sending/creating a chilling effect on members of the media. As Voltaire said: “I may not agree with what you are saying, but I will defend to the death your rigjt to say it...”

Yes but not “National” po that, by far, has more resources at its disposal. To be fair to VP Leni, who I did not vote for, she is doing her share given her limited resources as well. Please remember that the NATIONAL GOVERNMENT was invented precisely for situations such as this..
The amnesty granted to Sen. Trillanes, after acceptance & the lapse of the 15-day period to appeal has become a vested right and I doubt if it can be voided by mere executive fiat and the corresponding order of arrest issued without going through, or being issued by, the courts.
I completely agree!!! Gov’t. should not be composed of just “yes” persons… We need everyone’s help to recover from this pandemic & divergent views are definitely a sine-qua-non to comprehensively address all our country’s woes… 👍
The average age of the Filipino Farmer is 57 y.o. Our economy is principally agricultural. Farmers in other countries are not poor. We should make our farmers earn a decent living for succeeding generations to take their place. Thank you Rommel & may your tribe increase
University of the Philippines Los Baños graduate Romel Arrobang recalls his grandfather saying, 'Kung hindi ako magtatanim, paano kakain ang mga tao?'
Congratulations, Romel!
Finger-pointing & blame-laying have no place in rescue/relief operations after a calamity. Accountability & responsibility both come, if at all, after such operations are all done & the calamity is over so we can learn from it, be more prepared & do better next time.

The 1st COVID-19+ case in Sorsogon is Romegio C. Cruz, a 37 y/o seafarer from Miami, Florida who, upon arrival, was quarantined at the Matnog Quarantine Facility. He was later transfered to the COVID-19 Ward of the Sorsogon Provincial Hospital. He is asymptomatic & is doing fine.
