This year's budget proposal includes the planned retirement of 42 A-10s, decreasing the total squadrons to 5. As usual, the AZ delegation leads the way to fight this. Thank you @SenMarkKelly, @SenatorSinema , @RepKirkpatrick @RepRubenGallego , @RepOHalleran and @RepGregStanton!
Former USN pilot Sen. Mark Kelly, in question criticizing the push to retire the A-10, says he has flown close air support in Navy aircraft that "does not do the job well." Adds no airframe in the inventory does the mission like the A-10 can.
