New figures from the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) – the leading international authority on the severity of hunger crises - come as Lebanon attempts to rebuild after 15 months of escalated conflict with Israel that has seriously damaged agricultural production, disrupted supply chains and caused prices to skyrocket.

🔴Lebanon: Nearly a third of #children facing crisis levels of hunger as country reels from year of conflict.

🛑 The humanitarian crisis continues. 4,370 people remain displaced after the ceasefire and are currently residing in 42 collective shelters. Over 90,000 people, both Lebanese and Syrian, have arrived since December 8th. ⚠️Urgent humanitarian assistance is needed to to prevent further deterioration in living conditions and well-being for all affected populations. #HumanitarianResponse #EmergencyResponse #Lebanon

Now that a #ceasefire agreement has been announced, the international community must provide long-term support to rebuild lives, infrastructure and a sustainable future in #Lebanon. Providing humanitarian assistance to children and families must be prioritized to prevent further deterioration in living conditions and well-being for all affected populations.
