This is the reason FEMA under the old administration blew 50% of its budget in the first 10 days of the new fiscal year. which happened to coincide with the first 13 days of rescue and recovery in WNC after Helene. Well that’s an interesting Sunday morning shout out from @GriffJenkins from @FoxNews. The effort of the SFRO volunteers as well as all of the other organizations that were on the ground getting it done was nothing short of amazing. Well done American patriots! Well done.

All of those who have been battling trying to get their claims approved, trying to get help from the taxes they pay annually… If this isn’t proof that Biden and the left hate the American people I don’t know what it will take for the American people to come to the light.

The last ask was busy. We spent time in Raleigh speaking with NC State Senators @TimMoffitt and Warren Daniel. We discussed NC Gov Steins efforts and short falls. We also discussed what policy would look like to streamline the rebuilding efforts, issues that small businesses are facing, and what the state effort is going to continue to be. Then on to DC where we met with @TedBuddNC Team and Sen. Tillis team to discuss issues on the ground and the efforts of where, how, and when funding is moving into the state. We also discussed issues like bridge rebuilding and issues with certain types of mandatory evaluations, mandated by federal and state agencies that slow down rebuilding efforts, as well as lead to not any true actionable outcomes. Then Thursday we got to sit down with @FEMA_Cam and discuss lessons learned, Current issues still being faced by those in WNC. This was by far the best meeting of the week. He’s a fellow former Special Operator. He understands operational concepts better than most administrators, and he also understands the shortfalls FEMA has. He listened and understood to the issues we faced on the ground. He was intentional in his answers and has obviously been hard at it since his appointment, digging into FEMA and what can be changed to make it better. Cameron is a patriot and wants to be of service, and if someone can turn that ship around it’ll be Cameron and the team he assembles. Friday we met with @timmoorenc and discussed issues on the ground in WNC, locals concerns, and national response to the shortfalls and deficiencies at the federal and state levels when it comes to disaster response. It’s been a week.

Sure am. Live in black mountain. And have been in the ground since day 1 of the storm. Because of god and amazing buddies we were able to coordinate the first helo evacuation in the state to get my ex wife and daughter out of their cut off house, next door to my cut off house, which just recently has become move in ready again. it’s obvious what your opinions is focused on rather than actually doing any research to find out how an amazing group of Special Operations Veterans, former law enforcement, EMS personnel, and civilians (including amazing folks from Canada who came down to volunteer) came together to form “Savage Ops.” God bless.
