@vinnysgreen His suggestion to just “pay the protection money” has a very Mafia-esque tone.

I feel welcome in WordPress to a degree. When I was publicly attacked I got a lot of “well you deserved it” or “it was bad because X“ and my leadership was challenged. I suspect that wouldn’t happen to a man. I feel privileged In many ways, but I think there’s still opportunity for improvement.

@KatieKeithBarn2 @PicturesFoIder I think it more or less illustrates the relative size.

@vinnysgreen @RobertFreundLaw This is not accurate. The lawsuit ends one of three ways: 1. WPE dismisses it. 2. It settles. 3. The court disposes of it, either through dismissal or by hearing and deciding on the merits. Matt is wrong because HE CAN end the suit by settling.

@vinnysgreen Not sure. And asserting control wasn’t the point of my post. My point was, different directions is a feature, and shared principles is a foundation, but no one person or group should control it.

If WP doesn’t change much, then forking it just got easier, right?

It seems clear from updates to the WordPress developer resources that MM's biggest fear is that someone will take away the .org repository from him. Good. Keep pushing, everyone.

@taylorotwell @simonhamp @SlyFireFox There’s a reason I’ll only do B2B software - businesses are less likely to say “that’s too much.” I have a small SaaS that is B2P (prosumer) but when the consumers see it, they complain about $16/mo. That makes me crazy.

Well, two things. First, I was kicking off @WPConciergeCo and so I was having a lot of sales calls and onboarding new clients. But second, the s*** hit the fan and I started @AspirePressOrg which in the beginning was like an entirely other full time company. Again, glad that's over with!

I just donated to the @thewpcc at a $100 a year level. Their work is invaluable, and I highly recommend you do the same. Thank you to those working on a better future for all of WP.

@SouthwestAir Unfortunately this morning it took 45 minutes to get our bags. That was hard to stomach when the flight landed after midnight.

@DuaneStorey There’s a reason for that and it’s not because they didn’t have the ethical chops or their efforts fizzled out. I’ll let you guess what happened and it can be summed up in 2 letters.
