Don’t you just love living in a blame culture, where the hindsight police reign. Sara Sharif: Judge who placed her in care of murderer father named - ITV News

This is about Mental Health, rather Mental Illness. Our public services assess this risk daily. What happened is preventable. Question is-what system in which organisation would’ve prevented this very poorly person committing such a heinous act.

@StephJMorgan1 On the flip side-her party-knowing her politics-voted her into the position where she could. We must not forget that the majority ( albeit in a strange system) gave her the chance to do what she did

The “sack ‘em” culture continues. So no-one in the post ever learns what does need to be done, & everyone fears for their job. #bully #bullying

Outrageous comments from a man who can lose a house and not worry too much-and has never had to be accountable. No-one can predict this stuff. We can train for it-but it never happens as per the training!!

When will we get the memo? so many drugs that folk abuse. The issue is proactive mgt. In the 90’s I was laughed at for suggesting drug “safe spaces”it’s obvious that addicts chop & change. K is hideous. But so r alternatives Safe spaces r the way fwd.

Brilliant. Nothing like spending the money on admin to sort through the applications, rather than heating for old people.

Shoplifting issue driven by big stores building margins into profits to cover losses & refusing to set out shops to prevent it. Ie. Put expensive items out of reach of thieves. Big stores impact small ones with their shoplifting strategies cos they account for it. @BBCBreaking

Shameful sentencing. After two recent murders this is not ok. I hope she has also been banned from posting her ‘sentence’ on social media. As I suspect she was using this as an opportunity to get a few more followers. #sadsociety

Retired Policewomen’s lunch today. Most had to work in child protection, rape & “women’s” stuff. But none were allowed training. One of the ladies said “I retired 30 years ago. We needed training & now all I see in the papers is the need for more training”

@JuliaHB1 A huge assumption that universities are “neutral”. History is clear that universities are rarely neutral politically, religiously or otherwise. Why would Oxford be different now or in the past. The truth is always amalgam of so many perspectives.

@TomHCalver @gm_stone That’s because policing is by consent & % of women in policing is less than the % of women in society & women in policing have been dealing misogyny, sexual harassment etc within the service while trying to push for justice for women as victims.

@MartinDrapper The same could be said of men of a “certain age”. Therein lies the prob. I put up with crap from men I worked with cos so few women did my job, so my choice was to leave or find a different way. Unacceptable & evolutionary, but societally we don’t nail dates to new cultures.

What concerns me as much as this bill not being passed, is reading about the childish selfish tactics to “win”. This is serious stuff and demands our childlike politicians to grow up for a day & properly debate and discuss

Dying with dignity should be a human right along with living with dignity. Assisted dying is not something to be taken lightly. But it is 100% an option that should be available to those suffering at the end of life. It should be a respected choice.

More short term-appear to be tough on the perceived ‘rich’, policies. Which will look good to those who don’t understand where food comes from but will lead to greater reliance on cheap products which lead to obesity & spending disproportionately on food.

So I have a friend who trained at CAE as a pilot and COVID hit so he couldn’t get a job. Now he’s trying but because of Brexit he has to convert his UK commercial pilot licence to a European one. How does he do that? All the info conflicts!
