One takeaway from watching a high school game today:
It blows my mind how many players pout when they don’t do well and that the coaches allow it.
Hold your players accountable and make them better people. Life is all about how you react to adversity. Teach it now.

Harrison Central grad Sara Pelegreen has been hired as the new softball coach at Wheeling University. It’s her second tour of duty with the Cardinals. She’s also been an assistant coach at Robert Morris. Sara played collegiately at WV State.

Softball is awesome.
Recruiting by yourself is never lonely. Everyone talks, networks, you get to catch up with your coaching buddies, etc.
It’s just a really cool dynamic that I hope all other sports get to experience, as well.
Thankful for this game always. ❤️🥎

I tell my players I love them all the time - when we break at the end of practice, when I text them, when we leave volleyball games, etc. - because i want them to know I am unconditionally here for them in all aspects of life.

What I learned:
- underclassmen are leaders, too!
- pitchers can take your far, but defense will make it or break it.
- energy is a game changer - in the dugout, on the field, or from the fans in the stands.

To me, it’s just another drive through Wheeling.
To Lincoln, we get to go thru tunnels and across bridges and drive over choo choo train tracks and see dump trucks and construction workers.
Every trip is just one big adventure.
