Erasure of dark skinned Sudanese woman was a huge issue in prewar Sudan. I just saw a TikTok of woman talking about how she faced job discrimination because she didn’t fit into the colorist Sudanese beauty standards.
The responses to me highlight why my solidarity isn’t transactional because Sudanese people in the diaspora have always been anti-Somali. My empathy is with your people back home who are about to face the antiblack Islamophobia and xenophobia on a global scale, just like we did.
It’s because many people that evacuated to Egypt originally came from a higher socio economic status and have family that sends them money from western countries you haywana!

That’s why the Nubian dialect died out on my dad side of the family. My mom would insinuate that my paternal great grandmother was miskeena and uneducated when in reality she spoke an indigenous language.
Islamophobia is sinister because if we claim to care about global antiblackness, Sudanese people need our voices too. They’re also facing a genocide. But wait, they’re Muslims. The apathy these people have for the lives of Muslims is scary.
Urgent Call to the International Community on the Humanitarian Crisis in Sudan
The war in Sudan, ignited by remnants of the former regime and their allies within the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), has resulted in a profound humanitarian crisis. Throughout this 10-month war, the

I think the point is that dark skinned north Sudanese people (especially woman) exist and get erased out of every form of media representation
A Sudanese TikToker by the name Aamer, posted a viral bigotic message calling for expulsion of all South Sudanese in Sudan and the use of deadly force.
Therefore, South Sudanese in Sudan must remain vigilant.

The Arab lady was “praising” Sudanese people and saying she changed her skin color for them. & the Sudanese women were saying polite things back to her for whatever reason.
It’s so funny that the entirety of Sudan was hating on Tasabeh for participating in the Miss Global pageant & the second she starts doing well in the competition everyone switched up so fast 😭
@mazlynx
Theirs a tribe in Nigeria called the Shuwa Arabs that are descendants of north Sudanese people. I’ve seen a lot of Sudanis dna tests it’s fairly common to get Nigerian I wonder what the historical connection is.
Basara women of Chad 🇹🇩 are known to have very long natural hair. They cover their hair in a homemade mixture that keeps their hair super moisturized which is the reason why they say their hair never breaks since childhood.
The ingredients used are very specific to Chad🇹🇩 and

Ever since the war started, my mom has reoccurring dreams about my deceased grandfather begging her to bring him to America. My grandfather is buried in Sudan.

If we had a decent army to they would be prioritizing the protection of marginalized ethnic groups especially Darfuris that have faced the hellish terrorism of the RSF. The whole army has words for brains

As someone who is East African with type 4 hair, genetics advantage is cap. The women that I grew up with that had looser hair struggled with hair loss & thinning pretty frequently.

Where are your facts it’s nothing but hurt feelings and crocodile tears from you. Sai frequently references historical sources and cites proof when she is talking about the racial dynamics of north and south Sudanese people.
