Out of all the games I played this year, there are none I played more than The Finals (@reachthefinals). I absolutely adore what @EmbarkStudios has created, and the rest of the Shacknews staff agree. It's our best FPS of 2024:

Can't believe I was lucky enough to play the Halo 2 E3 2003 demo mod this year. The team at Digsite knocked it out of the park. It was so good it won our Best Mod of 2024 award. Well done! (Check out the vid, I brought props to the deliberations!)

I got to try out @zerolatencyVR's Space Marine VR experience and it was awesome. As soon as we stepped into the grimdark world, my mates and I couldn't stop calling each other "brother" and talking about how proud the Emperor was of our efforts 😂

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 grated me at almost every turn. And yet, I cannot stop playing it. I'm hooked on the world, on the exploring and combat. It's gorgeous and stunning, but it's also riddled with bugs and lacks depth in some areas. But I want more. It's amazing that this game exists
