Alternate possibilities. The colors could’ve been simpler, or even completely solid. The color choices couldve easily been inspired by the characters, not an overly obvious representation of them.
Disneyland updated and installed the Mickey's Toontown sign. The land officially reopens on March 8.

The Real Motivation
One cannot help but question the true motivation behind Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. It seems evident that the primary goal was to replace Splash Mountain rather than to create an entirely new and exciting attraction.
This decision appears politically

Of course people are freaking out over her mask. Keep in mind Im one of the few people who still wear a mask at my day job but it’s mostly because im sensitive to the dust that’s there. Don’t always assume the circumstances of why someone chooses to wear a mask.

I’m sad to report that this will be my last time going to the park myself for a very long time. My next visit will be with my mom, and that will be it. It’s been a fun 7 years😌

It was one of those rides I felt could be around forever. But I also knew it’s closure was inevitable. I’m just glad I was fortunate enough to have ridden it as many times as I have. Possibly hundreds, and absolutely more than any other ride at any other theme park. 🧵

Back in 2018 and 2019, I would ride Splash Mountain over and over again during Fantasmic, not just for a short line, but for the hopes of going down the drop as the Mark Twain full of characters goes by like these lucky guests here. I’m happy to say I succeeded many times ☺️

The entrance to Splash is probably in the farthest back corner of the park. Once you enter the 2 story barn, you are immediately transported; you’re surrounded by old time farming equipment and you smell old lumber. Because at this point, the barn genuinely is old!

The Briar Patch; probably the oldest structure in Critter County. It dates back all the way back to 1956 and was originally the Indian Trading Post up until 1989. Hopefully they’ll keep this building around after the retheme!

My uncle told me a story of how back in the late 70s, his friend got out of his vehicle on the haunted mansion and took the hat off the caretaker and wore it on his head in the park for the rest of the day. Yep, the days before security cameras were chaotic.

I love this ride but the human animatronics are horrendous lol
My favorite part of the E.T. attraction is Officer Crazy Legs. The knees are out of control. I just know he has trouble finding pants.

That’s one thing I found appealing about Universals approach to building new attractions. They don’t bother announcing it until they’re halfway through construction. That way it’s guaranteed to happen and they don’t mislead us with over-ambitious concept art.

No matter what happens, I will always be a Splash Mountain fan. Even if they try to erase all evidence of its existence, they can never eliminate how much I love, and will continue to love my favorite log ride. Thanks for all the memories and friendships I made along the way!

After Splash is closes, Im probably not going to post much about it anymore (outside of construction updates of course). Even though I like the ride, an alarming number of people within the community are extremely toxic. And I’m not trying to fuel or attract those people. (1/3)

After going down, and back up what was basically a roller coaster track we finally find the Laughin Place, which to me, is basically nonstop America Sings Cameos! While Brer Rabbit is laughing at Brer Bear is getting attacked by bees, while the whole tone is about to change….

From a construction wall during another refurb. Even if they erase all evidence of this ride’s existence, it would still make me really happy if they kept acknowledging the critters through their association with America Sings instead. It was their intended purpose after all.
