@georecord Thank you for sharing the link. I had not seen this talk before. Actually I noticed that the book specifically contains a line stating that we have comic license to slightly change the facts, which I guess kind of makes sense.

@HungryMathProf @trishankkarthik Yea that's true. Apparently Russell didn’t really meet some of the people he encountered in the book. The authors probably added these for the drama. I wonder if such a book really needs to be historically accurate or if it’s enough to portray the characters’ viewpoints honestly.

@HungryMathProf Yeah, it seems like a great choice for a seminar discussion. Maybe I'll give it a try too for a seminar discussion in the future if I get the chance.

@georecord Yeah, it seems some of the quotes aren't entirely accurate, but rather they are the authors' understanding of some philosophers' viewpoints, added for the sake of book's drama.
