TCOAAL is not a horror game, but is more suited to be in the psychological genre.

Idk why but I believe Ashley never smoked, cause Chapter 2 shows that she knows cigarettes are bad for your body so she doesn't strike out to be the type. And honestly, I hated the bitter taste of the cigarette.. so I could understand if she didn't like them.
