I tweeted about Amtrak last night and the response was 1) more than I expected; 2) Almost completely positive. While the responses aren't representative, there is clearly a segment of America yearning for more robust rail. Kansas City would be a nice spot for a regional hub.

Parked at 7th and Main. Got on the free KC Current shuttle to CPKC Stadium for about a 15-minute ride. Dropped off right at the gate. At the end of the game, got on another shuttle for 15-minute ride back to 7th and Main. No issues at all. Was fun to see other fans taking the.

I went out for a walk after work on Oct. 30. When I got home, I made a personal goal to get out every day for the rest of the year. Made the goal today! 63 days in a row for a total of 227 miles that took about 61 hours to complete. Basically, I walked from KCMO to Ames, Iowa.

For a city that does barbecue, I think we should retire the phrase pre-treating and replace it with marinating. "Crews were out marinating the roads last night ahead of Thursday's predicted snow." I mean, both are basically salt.
Snow falling fast and temps have dropped quit a bit. Pre treating roads yesterday helped significantly and we have 300 plows out working aggressively 24 hours a day until our streets in Kansas City are clear.
