@rkhanlab That's the hope! In the paper I show an application as a mask for reactive ion etch to make 3D micro textures. By more precisely controlling the evaporation it should be possible to improve uniformity of the pattern

We have been working on this problem for 8 years since the first observation, as the physics involved are complex and it took a long time and many false hypotheses before we felt that we could explain it adequately. I am very proud of the final result and hope you enjoy reading!
