Setting up "contact tracing" of protesters before setting up "contact tracing" for the pandemic is a direct reflection of the disproportionate and significant investment and empowerment of "homeland security" and not public health. It's also racist, obviously.
Minnesota Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington says they've begun contact tracing arrestees.

Walmart has an extensive emergency response operation and is notoriously effective at getting supplies into communities post-disaster because they know supply chains better than anyone.
Plenty to critique related to their company but they’re useful as hell in a disaster.

Maybe others have already pointed this out but by Mike Johnson not calling Congress back he is effectively implementing a key part of the policy changes recommended for emergency management by Project 2025 -- minimize federal involvement and funding in recovery.
Speaker Mike Johnson will NOT be calling the House back early to vote on a disaster aid supplemental in the wake of the Hurricane.
