@atKenNelson @brrrake This is so true lmao. A few days ago, I watched a movie in which a guy just typed like 3 lines or so in the command prompt and he was in someone else's heavily secured computer and able to access all the files

@ASoulOfDragons @TheCartoonBase Where is that then? Because both domestic daily and worldwide weekly numbers are showing Mufasa is the one with stronger legs. At the domestic box office Mufasa outgrossed Sonic 3 every day for the past two weeks, and 17 days out of the 26 they've been playing

@jcegames @TheCartoonBase On daily and weekly numbers Mufasa has outgrossed Sonic 3 for the past two weeks. Sonic outgrossed Mufasa at the domestic BO for 9 days, 5 of which were the first 5 days. Sonic had the opening, Mufasa has the legs And if we're talking about worldwide, Mufasa has always been ahead

@alfredo__1999 @TheCartoonBase Exactly. It's just bait. S3 had a way bigger OW, but for the past two weeks MTLK has outgrossed S3 every single day, and out of the 26 they have been playing, MTLK has outgrossed S3 for 17 days Mufasa is catching up to Sonic 3, and might even end up ahead by the end of their runs

@fuckitblegh @Pathenederland Dat een film digitaal beschikbaar komt betekent niet dat die dan niet meer in de bioscoop te zien is

@the_jahtagan @DiscussingFilm Timon and Pumbaa have to watch Kiara while Simba and Nala are away. Rafiki joins them and tells Kiara the story of Mufasa. Meanwhile Timon and Pumbaa make a handful of annoying interruptions

@TheTurkeyCobble @NSlaywe @willsgardevoir Nah, not the case here. Shortly after the release of the movie a novilization was released, based on an earlier version of the screenplay, and it proves that corporate meddling affected the movie pretty heavily

@DiscussingFilm I really enjoyed Mufasa, and am happy to see Aaron Pierre getting a nomination, and while I think Anika Noni Rose and Blue Ivy Carter delivered a good performance, they had WAY too little amount of lines to even be close to being worthy of award nominations imo

@Arthurknight @mass_gaming_yt @screentime This is the way it should be imo as well, I'm just saying I doubt the PVOD release will affect S3's BO that much. However, we have seen Disney release movies on VOD quite early this year as well. Inside Out was available digitally pretty early, and still kept going strong

@Arthurknight @mass_gaming_yt @screentime And if the audience isn't planning to see the movie in the cinema, but wait for the home release instead, it's not a lost ticket sale, it's just extra money from a family paying for the PVOD

@Arthurknight @mass_gaming_yt @screentime The big examples of movies failing on same-day releases were same day stuff on services like HBO Max and Disney+ Incomparable to having to pay for an overpriced 2 day rental on Amazon Prime
