While some podcasts enjoy the "long form" of 2h or more - the SANS ISC "Stormcast" is like a shot of morning espresso for #cybersecuriry news! I listen to it daily, and my boss thinks I'm even smarter than I am thanx to it. ๐ So thank u, @johullrich for all ur hard work. ๐๐
16 years ago, I started the daily SANS Internet Storm Center "Stormcast." Hoping that it still helps to make the tens of thousands of listeners "Sound Smarter" as they get to work in the morning. It can be challenging to stay updated in information securityย and to cut through the noise to figure out what matters, what is new, and how to respond to recent threats. I hope this podcast adds more signal than noise each day. Because security is best if it is a bit boring. Over 16 years, I recorded about 3,900 episodesย and 26,000 minutes of content (sounds more impressive than 16 days ๐ ). Subscribe to it wherever you find podcasts. @edskoudis @SANSInstitute And that was attempt #2 ! Attempt #1 was to Install Android Studio and try to run the actual app and debug it in run-time. But I'm wayyy too rusty on my mobile app dynamic analysis skills nowadays.

@SBousseaden What is the initial access vector for this kind of file into an org? Email? Link to a website from which it is d/l? I just don't understand orgs who allow being sent executables to employees via email, or allow them to be d/l by them willy-nilly like that... ๐ค

Later on in that episode, I couldn't hear John H. (while I could hear the breathing & keyboard strokes of other panelists). I was wondering if you were aware of this phenomenon, as it seems unreasonable that the problem is only on my end...
