When Vegito got absorbed by Majin Buu in Dragon Ball Z, the fusion split. In Daima, Buu's gas is said to defuse Potara. In Super, it's revealed Potara isn't permanent. But, why couldn't Gotenks/Piccolo be split inside Buu with the gas lore?. Full Video -

Dragon Ball Daima is NOT a GT "REMAKE" without SS4, Baby, Super 17, Shadow Dragons. You get the picture. The core story of GT that isn't Daima. Toriyama was 💯 INSPIRED by it, giving nods because he loved GT. Not "Toriyama's GT" but a love letter to it. That's the difference.
