NJ: We applaud the New Jersey General Assembly & @GovMurphy for enacting this vital safety measure. Upgrading the GDL program to include a supervised driving requirement will help to improve novice teen & young adult driver skills & make roads safer for all.

NY: Speeding is a known killer & it disproportionately affects the Empire State. Requiring Intelligent speed assistance (ISA) technology for repeat offenders will prevent speeding & save lives. Read our letter of support for AB 2299 here:

SD: From 1975 to 2019, seat belts prevented over 403,000 fatalities & saved approx. $2.5 trillion nationally. HB 1065 would repeal the state's seat belt law & cause emotional, physical & economic harm. Read our opposition letter:

VA: Seat belts are the first line of defense in a crash, which is why we support HB 2475 to require them for rear seat occupants. It should be enhanced to make it subject to primary enforcement since the state ranks last in seat belt usage rates:
