@Pdorrestein1 @drchrispook If one does reify components of the exposome, I think you can't overcome the objection that we outline at the beginning of the piece. So I wouldn't say we are 'annoyed,' but just that we take that objection seriously.

The thought pattern "exposome research, exposome, study of all exposures throughout the lifespan" should be replaced by "exposomics, research program in environmental health, enabling comprehensive discovery-driven analysis"

Are the exposome and exposomics valuable concepts? If the exposome is just the environment, exposomics would just be the study of environmental health. Then, both concepts would be redundant neologisms, since we already have 'environment' and 'environmental health research.'
