SAPS continues to proudly announce the destruction of 1000s of firearms, but - despite the High Court’s ruling (11/03) - we’re still waiting on SAPS for evidence that all firearms undergo the mandatory IBIS testing before destruction. #Saai will keep up the pressure.
More than 14 500 firearms are being destroyed today in Gauteng. These are firearms & parts that were confiscated during police operations across the country, some were forfeited to the state while others were handed in voluntarily! SAPS has since 2019 destroyed 263 545 firearms
