Cecil Okotah currently serves as the Environmental Sustainability Consultant at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and formerly was the Sustainability Program Manager with The Ohio State University Department of Athletics and Business Advancement. During his time with The Ohio State University Department of Athletics and Business Advancement, Cecil played a pivotal role in advancing sustainability initiatives, including reducing potable water consumption for Covelli Center’s cooling towers through the installation of a groundwater harvesting system, transitioning to electric leaf blowers for post-event cleanup, and implementing a three-stream waste infrastructure at Ohio Stadium’s Huntington Club to divert waste, particularly food waste, from landfills. In addition, Cecil was previously interviewed on SWACO’s WastED podcast, where he spoke about sustainability at the Shoe! SWACO is excited to see all of The Ohio State University's sustainability efforts and thanks Cecil for the support he has given to numerous departments. #SWACOCares #BlackHistoryMonth25 #BHM #CentralOhio #Cbus #Sustainability

If you are using a SWACO recycling drop box or curbside recycling, keep your recyclables loose. Using standard trash bags or plastic grocery bags to contain your recyclables can get tangled in the recycling sorting machines. Score a sustainable touchdown when you #RecycleRight!
