Today has been live trial day! The maths and English teams have been working hard preparing students for their exams. This morning we had Y10 English trial and Y11 maths live trial. This is great preparation for the Y10 Achieve week next week and Y11 trial exams next half term.

Through our Helping Hands Key Stage 3 elective, students have been supporting the local community and gaining new skills. The students received a certificate of appreciation for their work and some students also took part in online learning 'learn my way'. #community #edlington

This week, our Student Parliament have delivered their research projects linked to their area of responsibility. They each: planned, collected data, analysed their findings and offered an action plan for what they are hoping to achieve. #studentparliament #personaldevelopment

Members of our Student Parliament attended Halifax Academy to take part in the second instalment of the Leaders for Change programme. From this initial meeting, students are putting together a grant proposal in which they are hoping to receive funding for a gardening space. 💰

⛳️🏌♂️🏌♀️Our second cohort of golfers have graduated. Combining mental and physical skills, students have developed concentration, focus, resilience and determination throughout the 10 weeks. They made some fantastic progress with a golf club. @Kingswoodgolf

Last Wednesday we held our second Creative Showcase, where parents of students in the Special Event Catering elective, The Show Must Go On elective and the Musical Theatre elective, were invited into the Academy for afternoon tea and a mixed performance of drama and music.
