OMG Just saw the news about the MAC! For everyone who has reached out, I will reply. I'm actually shocked and will need some time to take it all in--as I thought it would be CUSA or wait. Just happy to have a home for football!!! We still get Miami--just not the warm one in Nov!.

Wow, just did some quick research: The UVA baseball coach makes almost $800k a year. The UMass baseball program has a budget of $490k and the head coach makes $100k. Teams looked pretty even to me over the weekend series. 🤔🤔🤔.

My MAC Jolly Roger flag arrived. My wife opened up the package before me and was like "what the heck is this?" I started to explain that it's flown when a MAC team beats a P5 team. I stopped explaining and said it goes in my man cave and she left it at that with a head shake.😏

UMass lost almost the whole team from last and this year's team was far better, and the players who stayed improved greatly. Frank Martin and his staff showed that the transfer portal can work for the better.

Very impressed with the "Massachusetts Football Vision" that was just released. It's what I was wanting and glad that there has been progress. It won't quite the whiners/complainers, but it gives tangible examples of steps in the right direction for UMass football.

Just got back from my first visit to Amherst and UMass in seven years! The campus looks great and just impressed with the overall improvements. So many new buildings and more on the way! Missed The Pub and Rafters. Had a huge lobster role at Captain Jack's in Easthampton (👍).

Boys to men: Four years ago UMass football had a very young and inexperienced coaching staff and a roster full of freshman. Today, a very experience coach staff and a roster full of rSRs and GR students. Will it pay off, well, we will see this season but it should be fun!!!.

My take: UMass will be almost a new team from last season. New O cord, healthy Puma, new RBs, TEs, Oline. Defense will be almost new also, that will need to improve tackling and LBs performance. Special teams will need to improve. A lot of 4 and 3 star players for lower G5. .

For almost FORTY years--from the early 60's to the early 2000's UMass football was one of the best football programs in D2/1-AA/FCS. Yes, there was the occasional rebuilding year but even then UMass could beat any team. First round draft picks in Greg Landy and Milt Morin!.
